Toyo Pumps

Heavy Duty Slurry Pumps

Heavy duty slurry pumping applications need more than just a conventional slurry pump. They need a specialised pump engineered to withstand the most abrasive and heaviest slurries. The Toyo range of specialised heavy duty slurry pumps can move material previously not considered pumpable, and do this reliably and efficiently.

The Toyo pumps are engineered to pump solids that have settled out of fluid suspension, the very situation in which conventional pumps fail. With an established international reputation for high performance, reliability and cost effective operation, Toyo pumps are manufactured in two main facilities in Japan and for specific series in facilities in Belgium and Canada.

Features a patented built-in agitator that lifts the sediments and creates a homogenous slurry mixture which enables continuous pumping of slurries with high solids concentrations.

Careful selection of materials of construction as well as custom engineered components combined with the power slow running high torque motors ensures excellent abrasion resistance in heavy slurries reducing the total cost of ownership.

Submersible pumps

The Toyo submersible pumps are specially designed to pick up and transport abrasive materials with the least amount of water.

These submersible pumps, operating directly in the slurry, are low noise machines. They do not require any special construction for their installation. Some compact series, with top outlet discharge, offer the possibility to work in narrow spaces as well (e.g. foundation piling).

The Toyo submersible pumps incorporate the patented Toyo agitator, attached directly to the shaft of the pump, in a configuration that results in one of the most rugged submersible slurry pump available on the market.

The rotation of the Toyo patented built in agitator lifts the sediments and creates a homogeneous slurry mixture. This makes continuous pumping of slurries with high concentration of solids possible.

Heavy duty design, careful selection of materials and parts as well as unique component shapes combined with powerful slow running high torque motors have produced pumps with excellent abrasion resistance, very efficient in heavy slurries pumping.

These characteristics ensure long service life and economical operation.

Toyo K pumps

The K pumps are wastewater submersible pumps. They are specially designed to handle very heavy and abrasive slurries containing fibrous materials.

These centrifugal pumps, with single canal impeller, feature a totally new patented agitator. This agitator, directly fixed on the impeller, integrates the inlet of the pump and prevent any rotation blockage.

The impeller, the suction cover and the agitator are manufactured in cast chrome iron (24 to 28% Cr).

A strong shaft, made of stainless steel, sustained by a series of carefully selected bearings, transmit the rotation speed of the motor to the upper side of the impeller. The design of the pump offers a large passage.

Thermal protection and moister sensor are standard on these pumps.

K pumps are able to lift and transport slurries with densities of at least 1,25kg/dm³ and handle solids content reaching 50% by weight. They offer pumping capacities up to 90m³/h.

They can handle solids particles with up to 70 mm diameter, in slurries with up to 60°C and pH between 4 to 14.

K pumps are available in different metallurgies, including stainless steel, and/or with detachable bend and base.

Special versions are available for liquid temperatures up to 80°C.

The maximum operating depth is 30m.

GR15 and bigger models have an adjustable wear plate. The impeller, the wear plate and the agitator are manufactured in cast chrome iron (24 to 28%).

GR pumps are able to lift up and transport slurries with densities of at least 1.25kg/dm³ and can handle solids contents reaching 55% by weight. They offer pumping capacities of up to 192m³/h.

They are able to pump solids particles with up to 40mm diameter, in slurries temperatures of up to 60°C and pH between 4 and 14. They can be furnished in different metallurgies including stainless steel.

Their maximum operating deph is 30 m. Pumps GR15 to GR30 are available in special versions able to work at up to 60m without any external additional device.
